NaNoWriMo 2016 - Day 1
It's a rebuilding year. As is my habit, I'm following up a failed 2015 attempt with a continuation of last years novel. I've only been kind of picking at this novel since last November, maybe adding about ten thousand words to what came out of 2015. There's been a bunch of reasons for that but this feels like a good new start after last nights first write-in.
Having my regular spot at the Des Plaines library always feels refreshing and invigorating because it's where I started this five year run of productivity that resulted in three novels. And even though not to many people have read those novels I'm still enjoying writing them.
Its tough this year because my third novel hasn't been inspiring me. I think it's because I took inspiration from Gundam Wing and even though you'd probably have to be psychic to see it at this point, it's still never felt as fully mine as my first two novels.
We'll see if I can finish this one in the next thirty days. Either way I'll be working on edits and rewrites into next year so I've got to start enjoying this thing or else it's going to be a slog.
NaNo diary entries are sporadic and I'm still working on more Luke Thoughts, so keep checking out the blog for the wide array of things that come out of my brain.
